PHOTOGRAPHY

When I began taking photos as a teen, I had an old Rolleiflex 35mm camera with a broken light meter. This was a blessing, I learned to see the light and know the exposure. It made me sensitive to the nuances and the subtleties, it helped me to be inspired by light and in awe of it. Later when I took a black and white developing / printing class, I spent hours in the lab refining and obsessing over the prints, fine tuning my tools for dodging and burning. This was also years after I had been pushing pixels in Photoshop 2.0, a passion that I continue to this day, 32 years later.
